Role and Responsibilities
As a DevOps Systems Administrator at LabForty, you will be responsible for the deployment, configuration, and management of our IT infrastructure, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems. You will collaborate with software development and IT operations teams to implement and maintain automation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Your role will be pivotal in bridging the gap between development and operations to streamline the delivery of software and enhance system performance.
Your responsibilities will include:
Install, configure, and maintain servers, systems, and network infrastructure.
Collaborate with software developers to design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines.
Develop and maintain automation scripts for system provisioning and deployment.
Monitor system performance and security, addressing issues proactively.
Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related incidents and outages.
Implement security best practices to safeguard data and systems.
Manage and monitor cloud services and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Azure).
Participate in the on-call rotation to ensure 24/7 system availability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve deployment processes.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role
Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems
Proficiency in scripting and automation - Bash, PowerShell or Python
Experience with containerization technologies - Docker, containerd, Kubernetes
Experience with virtualization – KVM, Proxmox
Familiarity with configuration management tools - Ansible, Puppet
Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools – GitLab, AWS Code Build, Code Deploy, Code Pipeline
Working knowledge of databases and SQ
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work well in a team.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Relevant certifications AWS Certified DevOps Administrator, Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
Experience with cloud platforms AWS, Azure Cloud.
Knowledge of networking and security best practices.
Previous experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform).
Familiarity with monitoring and logging solutions - ELK Stack, Grafana, Prometheus, Loki
